Pharmaceutical and Agrifood

When “cleaning in place” (CIP) or “sterilization in place” (SIP) is applied, determining the correct seal material is not straightforward. The chemicals used in CIP as well as superheated steam (up to at 140°C) used in MS deteriorate the quality of the elastomer seals. For some applications, seals must meet strict requirements for food contact. Tests have shown that certain types of elastomers recommended for DIN 11864 and DIN 11851 standards, for applications generally subject to CIP and SEP, are not not or were not totally suitable to ensure tightness with these cleaning processes.

Chemistry

Dynalast® grades are ideal when excellent chemical and thermal resistance is required. In our R&D department, we develop special compounds to meet the increased demands of chemical and hydrocarbon applications. In manufacturing, chemical and hydrocarbon processors contain some of the most hazardous materials. Dynalast® perfluoroelastomer parts have been designed to withstand these types of environments. Dynalast® offers a range of high performance materials that provide superior chemical resistance combined with excellent mechanical properties for the ultimate in sealing performance and reliability in the chemical process industry.
